    If you look carefully, a lot of that is just damage to the thick layers of paint – they were seriously over-engineered, and the metal underneath is massively thick and the general condition isn’t actually too bad. They replaced Bishop’s Bridge a couple of years ago, but the reason wasn’t corrosion – it was just inadequate for the traffic that used it.
