Today’s dramatic interlude

Posted in Uncategorized by Simon Bisson on March 3, 2006

Driving up the A3, I heard a siren, and started to slow down. It was a good job I did, as a motorbike shot of a side road in front of me, crossed the road and headed off up the pavement, on the other side of the street. It was followed by a police car, all lights flashing and sirens wailing. They both swerved down the next side road and disappeared off into the distance…

“Wow”, I thought. “My very own high speed police chase”.

whenever we are passed by a speeding vehicle–at least 20 mph faster than prevailing speed, we say one of the following:
Catch one for us (hoping for a Highway patrol catch)
Keep it far away from anyone (expecting a very messy accident)
